…which comes in many fabulous forms. Colourful plaids and tweeds create a real outdoor look are all the rage this season. Catherine Malandrino‘s prints are feminine and soft, but the dresses are so beautifully sculpted that they are a real knock-out.

Animal prints in hues of golds, blacks and browns create an aura of decadence and are right on trend for A/W ’10. Irish designers Kate & Ava have brought leopard print in to many of their beautiful dresses this season.

RED

Red is always a beautiful, warm, winter colour so thankfully it is one of the key colours of this season. This stunning, red dress by Kate & Ava has just arrived into Anastasia and would be perfect for an Autumn/Winter wedding.

For those of us who are less daring, She’s So are known for their simplicity and luxury and have a more paired down chic look this year, which is very in keeping with this years runway looks.

 Irish designer Orla Kiely has gone from strength to strength in the last few years with the popularity of her designs growing by the day. The Irish Times Magazine recently published an article about Orla, her work and her new collection for Autumn/Winter which we are delighted to have at Anastasia Boutique.

Anastasia sponsored the best dressed lady prize at this year’s annual GOAL Ball in The Burlington Hotel on May 14th for the third year running. Top model Andrea Roche presented TV personality Mary Kennedy and ball-goer Helen Coonan with the joint title. Helen (right) is holding her prize in one of our very own Anastasia bags in this picture, which appeared in VIP magazine.

Alongside Andrea Roche and Mary Kennedy, lots of other well known faces attended the event including tenor Paul Byrom and broadcaster and Michael Lyster.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved with the event, which was a great success yet again.

Anastasia gladly donated a dress for auction at the annual ‘Buy my Dress’ event in aid of The Down Syndrome Centre in May. Three events took place simultaneously in Dublin, Cork and Galway.  €60,000 was raised on the day which will be used to support  Ireland’s first Down Syndrome Liaison Nurse, Angela O’Riordan and look to fund similar nursing positions in Cork and Galway. Celebrity Stylist Cathy O’Connor and beauty writer Triona McCarthy were amongst the hundreds of volunteers who offered up their valuable time on the day. Congratulations and well done to everyone involved from all at Anastasia!

The British Times and it’s online edition featured our very popular ‘Butter by Nadia’ range recently. The piece demonstrated very well the adaptability of Butter dresses. Look out for our brand new Autumn/Winter range of Butter by Nadia coming soon to Anastasia.
